Radical Modernism Book

This collection of design hails from Dan Friedman’s typographic work produced during his career and his 12 maxims. I was inspired by how dynamic Dan’s type appeared on the page. Whether it is flat or turned at an angle, Dan’s type always captivates the eye, as if it is playing a trick on your vision. In hopes of achieving a similar effect, I used a different type altering technique. Through the usage of repeated words and texture mapping, I formed a series of three-dimensional shapes to give that illusion of dimension Dan was able to capture so effectively.
